The Captain asked the crew to assemble on the deck of Friends Good Will to disseminate several pieces of information:

1. The verbal commands to be used when embarking and disembarking the dock.
  2. Protocol and orders for making and striking sail.
3. The procedure in case of a "Man Overboard" situation .
4. The procedure in case of a fire situation.
Hope Card discussed her research on material and types of clothing that would have been worn on a ship like Friends Good Will during the early 19th Century. She mentioned that we are the only tall ship that wears period-type uniforms that are in existence in the United States today.
